現園長である鳥海圭子先生が国際交流を通して出会った、各国で活躍されている方々とのご縁があり、そこからグローバル化に伴い幼児教育に取り入れるようになりました。
そのことをきっかけとして当園では、保育の中でインターナショナル・スクールデイを開催しています。
朝から帰りまでネイティブの先生がクラス担任として、
朝の出迎え→身支度→自由あそび→朝の会→ＡＢＣタイム(その日の主活動：ゲームあそび・クラフトあそび・外あそび)→帰りの会までを全て英語で一日過ごします。(補助としてクラスの担任の先生も一緒に楽しみます)

音やリズム、表現を使い楽しく英語に親しめるようカリキュラムにいれております。国際化社会において強い心と伝える意思を大切にしながら、毎日の園生活の中で子どもたちに伝えています。
目的
語学教育の４技能（英語を母国語とする外国人教師）による
①聞く ②話す ③読む ④書く
を先ず聞くことで音声に親しませた上で話す練習に進み、最後に読み書きに進むようにする。
外国語の教育は社会にニーズに影響されやすいという特徴を持っている。それゆえ、その目的は、置かれた社会的、歴史的コンテクストの中でとられられる必要がある。日本においては「実用か、教養か」という対立の歴史があるが、外国語教育の意義には世界的に共通の要所がある。
基本的な意義は、次の６つの項目に分けることができるだろう。
１ 知的能力を伸ばす。
２ 偉大な文学に触れ、個人的教養を広げる。
３ 言語の機能の理解を深め、母国語の理解をより深める。
４ 外国語で書かれたものを読んで新しい情報を摂取する態度を養う。
５ 外国人と口頭あるいは文字を介してコミュニケーションができる能力を養う。
６ 外国人の生活やものの考え方に対する共感的な見方を見つける。

Purpose of English Education at Minami Urawa Kindergarten.
Instruction from native English language teachers focuses on the four basic skills of language education.
①Listening ②Speaking ③Reading ④Writing
By listening first, children become accustomed to the sounds, then move on to speaking practice and finally move on to reading and writing.
A characteristic of foreign language education is that it is easily influenced by society's needs.
The purpose of language acquisition, therefore, needs to be understood within the social and the historical context of where it is occurring.
Although Japan has a history of conflict between language learning for 'practical' versus 'academic' purposes, the significance of language learning exists the world over. The significance of and advantages of language learning can be divided into six key points. (Rivers 1968)
1. Develop one's intellectual abilities
2. Encounter great literature for personal enrichment.
3. Deepen one's understanding of the functions of language and one's own native language.
4. Foster an interest and ability to read in foreign languages and acquire new information.
5. Develop an empathetic perspective on foreign people's lives and ways of thinking.
